You may have noticed the three links in the top menu of the seo2.blog homepage — blogging, social media + search.

For several years this blog has focused on the three.

Thus the three main categories are linked in the main navigation as well.

Ever since the blog here started back in 2007 I alternated mainly between the three topics.

“Why that?” You might ask.

All three are closely related of course!

I could go on like this forever. These three subjects are intertwined in manifold ways.

So what exactly do I write about?

Blogging

I explain the very entry level basics of blogging for everybody.

Beginners, intermediate users and even experts will find some insights here that not many share.

I am brutally honest about both my failures and successes.

This is not an affiliate blog trying to sell you something when you click a link.

Ever since I started using social media sites in 2006 I got hooked.

They worked for me and I even became a social media manager for clients down the road for a few years.

I can still help you with the likes of Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest.

These are also the services I mostly cover.

The Google dominance is not as complete as you might think

As an SEO or search engine optimizer I know what’s going on here.

I’m always on the look out for alternative search engines. I’m a big fan of Startpage and Ecosia for example.
