Some even might call it insider lingo, jargon or worse.

It’s SEO slang that might get misunderstood by outsiders.

Thus clients, website visitors or the general public often struggle to discover the hidden meaning behind often used terms.

You know that SEO means Search Engine Optimization?

You still might be surprised what else a specific wording might signify.

Guaranteed top positions = We buy Google Ads for you. We charge you for spending your money.
We’re Google Partners = We buy so many Google Ads for you that we’re eligible for that badge. Also we’re certified experts at spending your money!
We do SEO, SEM, PPC to increase your ROI = We do not want you to know what we do
We stick to the Google Search Essentials = We only ignore them in a way that we assume Google won’t notice
10 ways of making money online = Those are our 10 affiliates, please click on the respective undisclosed ads
We offer social media marketing = We buy Facebook ads for you
We offer link baiting services = We want to put that drunk naked ladies video on your site
Our network = Our link farm
Authority sites = Sites that do no SEO
Black hat SEO = We do anything to get rich quick, even if your site gets banned
White hat SEO = We only cheat Google where we have to, others do it too, come on!
We optimize for Google, Bing, ChatGPT… = If we fail on Google you still have to pay
Indexer tools – We force Google to let you in through the backdoor. Or we break in through the front door!
Partners = People we never heard of until we exchanged links or they paid for links on our site
Onpage optimization = Sorry, we still practice SEO like in the nineties
SEO India = Dear Sirs! We offer 1000 high DA links for $10.
Al visibility = Look! AI knows about you! Now pay us!
We offer content, inbound, digital marketing or PR – We’re ashamed of practicing SEO
We offer GEO – We skipped geography in school. What on Earth are we doing now? Ah, we charge you twice for SEO. It works on chatbots as well, so you owe us!
